Ecstasy- An account on my birthday

Posted on October 2, 2012 by Namrata Kumari

I gazed up into the sky, the vast empire of planets and bright stars. The stars were gazing at me too. On my birthday eve, I felt them speaking to me. A tale of life they chanted, the tale of birth and demise. Once those stars must have borne and once their vehemence would die. Some must have already seeped into the cracks attaining the eternal end. But on my birthday I wish not to talk about β€˜end’. Birthday signifies a day when future coincides with the past. Celebrating a moment of past and keeping a vision in mind to make our future better than today.

I received tones of warm wishes, some expected and some were truly a pleasant surprise. Chocolates and cards, cake and candles, gifts and ribbons, friends and treat make a birthday classical. Since the clock tolled the midnight my phone started to ring and beep keeping me awake and thanking all my well-wishers with a smile on my face. The lovely wishes made me feel that since I was borne I am alive within the hearts of my beloved ones. When I read through a card I got overwhelmed with the emotions so profound. It made me feel so special. I felt proud of myself and my friendship.

Mom, dad, sister, brother and my dear friends, I am lucky to have them in my life. They celebrated my birth and I celebrated their fortunate presence in my life. I wish this perennial love to sparkle my life forever. I put down my pen thinking of the wonderful time I spent to foster these sweet memories throughout my life.

Thank you once again…I got what you said. One must live up to the fullest. That's why I think we celebrate our birth. Birthday makes us feel that we are special and our lives have got some worth, it's precious.I won't remain here forever I know, but I can leave trails of my achievements before I leave.I feel I am lucky to have friends as good as you. Thank you so much for visiting and replying. πŸ™‚

Hmm.. 1. Happy birthday again.2. Be happy always. Each and every birthday of mine, brings same things into my mind. One who has taken birth into this world has to go… like the millions of stars take birth and die simultaneously in this universe. One thing we should always remember… "We don't know, if there is really anything like rebirth. So, this is the one life we have.. make it count and live everyday as it's you last. And while doing that… leave footprints on the sands of time.. that will remain forever, as is.Remember also… We are lucky to have you too in our lives, I am lucky. πŸ™‚
