Although, the seventh sem’s over and had been hellishly agonizing it has been the most memorable one. I had a great time with my friends going to CMC Academy, Durgapur for our summer’s training. Fun, jokes, studies and the best, ‘coding’… the sluggish reclaimation out of the sleep in the warm mornings and heading towards the institute on our beloved 8B bus… Ah! I cannot forget.
And then we developed ‘Bidders Joint- An online auction application using ASP.NET’ (my son) which received wonderful remarks from the HOD and that was a moment of immense joy. Heading towards the mid sem the terror of placements started to plunge in our minds. The first company to arrive in our college campus was TCS and somehow a poor chap with poor skills in Mathematics managed to bear the trauma of Aptitude exam and appear for the interview. This had cost me almost a month of restlessness and lack of sleep but ultimately, when I received the offer letter for the job everything seemed to have paid it off. I would share my interview experience maybe, in some other post.
Even after this, my pains and sufferings had not yet come to an end. There was still a lot more stored in for us, the semester exams. I found the syllabus unending. Artificial Intelligence and Compiler Design!!! It took me two days to understand the concept behind ‘Bottom-up Parsing’. I can almost cry thinking of it. Thanks to Wikipedia, Google, Tutorials Point, W3 Schools and my friends that I managed to row across the storm decently.
Tomorrow, I will be going back to my home for the winter vacations, this time with a job offer letter. When I look back to my journey till date in the college I see a kid growing up. Just a few months more in the college and then life would open up to the pages of some new chapter. I feel nostalgic about a few beautiful moments I spent with my friends, classes I attended and more than that the classes I bunked, samosa treats, walking on the streets in the chilly evenings, biryani, City center and every little wonderful memory I have with me.
As life’s pacing up and I have got a lot to learn, I wish to meet more people as I go along, making friends and cherishing being alive. I wish for all a very merry winter. Get to your homes, snuggle up tight with your loved ones and enjoy the warmth of love. 🙂
