Oh boatman! Where do you head to?
Have you come from the wonderland?
All day long you row your boat,
Ferrying people from one bank to another.
Why do they rely on your skills,
Knowing that the billowing water kills?
Tell me where do you vanish in the dusky light,
Do you dissolve into the upsurging foam?
Or the reddening horizon is what,
You call your home?
I see hope in you, I know not why.
I wish to meet my miracle before I die.
You must have taken people to their dream lands,
Rowing the boat with your strong hands.
I trust you, I say, I know not why.
I am caged into the bars of mundane,
Sorrowful, hopeless, wrapped in disdain.
Tell me you will row me across,
The storm of my misfortune huge,
That you will take me to my utter refuge.
This photograph and these lines are uploaded as a part of Five Day Five Photo challenge (FPFS), for which I am tagged by Bhavikk Shah, an awesome blogger and a great friend. I took this opportunity as an inspiration to blog more as these days I hardly find time to do so. Thank you so much, Bhavikk. It’s because of you that I woke up early and wrote this. 🙂
As a part of this challenge, I tag one of my blogger friends for this challenge who is, Sachin Prabhu. I am very sure that Sachin would happily accept the challenge and will surprise us with his wonderful clicks and stories behind them. 😀
