is a story of blooming Love amidst the human dystopia
. Like all the Disney Pixar movies
watching Wall.E would certainly be an overwhelming experience. However, I consider it to be the best of all the animated ones I watched for the reasons I am sharing below.
The plot of the movie is a dystopian Earth unfit for sustenance of the living, surfaced with the hills of garbage being dumped everyday from the space. Humans have settled into Axiom, an artificial human habitat. On Earth ‘lives’ Wall.E, the little waste managing machine and starts the story of his desire to hold his love’s hand
. Wall.E falls in love with Eve (his dear Eva), who is an examining robot sent from Axiom to Earth to search for the traces of life on it.
The sarcasm of the story remains the use of machines to portray true love. Which is somewhat apt for today’s world where love is getting to be some distant idea which allows us to change our relationship status on Facebook or buy expensive gifts on Valentine’s Day. Our future is drifting away from the true essence of it.
The movie defines the truest and the simplest form of love which desires to just stay together and nothing else at all. It teaches you-
How simple it is to love! It is not a rocket science and hence, it doesn’t require a rule book. It needs simple expressions like the one Wall.E dreams of, Holding Hands and a little (sometimes, stupid) expectation of staying close. It certainly brings pain and calls for a lot of effort. But the immense joy it brings is beyond those tiny prickles.
Oh! Please, Say something,
You’ll let me be your man.
And please, say to me,
You’ll let me hold your hand.
Here’s a musical video for you,
Isn’t love so simple and magical? So, why don’t you just go and
Hold your love’s hand?
